Women’s Weaving Circle: Wearable Art Edition October 24th

Make Your Own Two-Piece Gauze Set + Hand-Dyed Head Wrap

For our October Women’s Weaving Circle, we’re stepping into wearable art.

Together, we’ll create this flowing two-piece look from start to finish using soft cotton gauze, then add a beautiful hand-dyed head wrap to complete the look.

This intimate, beginner-friendly sewing experience is for anyone who has wanted to make their own clothing but needed a little hands-on guidance.

During the Circle, I’ll guide you through:

• Cutting and preparing your fabric
• Creating the oversized gathered bottom
• Constructing the wrap-style top
• Adding elastic and finishing details
• Adjusting the fit to your body
• Hand-dyeing your own coordinating head wrap
• Bringing your entire look together

Your registration includes:

• Approximately 7 yards of cotton gauze fabric
• Fabric for your hand-dyed head wrap
• Dye materials and supplies
• Basic sewing notions needed for the project
• Hands-on instruction and individual assistance
• Sewing machines available for use
• Food and beverages to enjoy while we create
• A small, intimate class of only 6–7 women
• Your completed two-piece wearable art set and hand-dyed head wrap to take home

You’ll select your garment color ahead of the Circle from the available color options, and during our gathering you’ll create your own coordinating hand-dyed head wrap.

Sewing Machines

Sewing machines will be available during the Circle, so you do not need to own one to participate. If you have your own sewing machine and would feel more comfortable working on it, you’re welcome to bring it with you.
